• As a courtesy, Holiday Homes Club Home Exchange members are requested to respond
to all e-mails enquiring about an exchange, by at least acknowledging receipt of
the e-mail. If circumstances don’t suit the member for the exchange, a polite decline
is in order.
• Holiday Homes Club Home Exchange partners are to leave their home and the home
they exchange with in a clean and sanitary condition for their exchange partner.
• Holiday Homes Club Home exchange partners should clear away enough of their personal
belongings so guests can empty their suitcases into cupboards, drawers and bathroom
areas. Lock away any of your treasured items. Unless otherwise arranged, it is recommended
that each partner leave two sets of clean sheets per bed and two sets of towels
per person.
• It is recommended that exchange partners compile a folder with information to
leave at their own home with notes about the home and appliances; garbage removal;
useful telephone numbers for emergencies, plumbers, neighbours, etc.; tourist information;
location of shops; pool maintenance; etc. A little welcome gift such as a bottle
of wine or local food speciality would be a nice gesture too.
• Holiday Homes Club Home Exchange partners are to treat other exchange partners
and their property with utmost respect.
• In the event of any damage caused by the exchange partner, the exchange partner
is to offer to replace, repair and pay for the damage.
• It is recommended that Holiday Homes Club Home Exchange members take travel insurance
when planning to travel to cover them in the event of any unexpected cancellations,
or travel related incidents.
• Holiday Homes Club Home Exchange members should check with their insurance companies
what terms and conditions apply regarding having guests in your home or using their
car.
• It is strongly recommended that holiday exchange members each complete a
Home Exchange Contract Form
and send this to the home exchange partner to ensure both parties have an understanding
as to their arrangements.
• All agreements reached between the exchange partners are to be honoured. Changes
to the agreement are to be mutually agreed upon.
• Holiday Homes Club Home Exchange partners are responsible for conducting their
own investigations regarding any and all claims made by exchange partners.
• Home exchangers assume all liability for the use of any information found on the
Holiday Homes Club website.
• Holiday Homes Club Home Exchange members are to ensure that the information that
